Rapid City Airport Reopens After Weekend Storm

Passengers Boarding Airplane

RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) – Rapid City’s airport has reopened, after being shut down by a weekend snowstorm that dumped nearly 2 feet of snow on the city.

The airport reopened at 8 a.m. Monday, after crews removed snow, restored electricity and repaired damage from the storm. Officials say there is more cleanup to do but that the airport is ready to resume a normal flight schedule.

Passengers are encouraged to contact their airline for the latest updates on flights.
