Winter Storm Warning for Western South Dakota



RAPID CITY, S.D. (AP) – An early winter storm could drop a foot or more of snow across much of the Black Hills through early Saturday.

The National Weather Service in Rapid City has issued a winter storm warning from 6 p.m. Mountain time Thursday until 6 a.m. Saturday.

Heavier amounts of 21 inches or more are forecast for the higher elevations west of Rapid City, which could see a foot or more. Pierre could pick up a couple of inches.
