Takini Students Make Trip to Pierre for Radio Station Visit

PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) A group of Takini School students stopped by KGFX Monday to record drug and alcohol prevention announcements for use on the radio.  The four students are all officers of their respective classes and were chosen to come to Pierre for the radio field trip based on paragraphs they wrote on why they shouldn’t use or abuse drugs and alcohol.  They were joined by Sherry Means, Takini School Language Arts/English teacher.  Thanks to our latest visitors; Wyatt Belt, 9th grade; Christen Widow, 10th grade; Michon Shaving, 11th grade and Lucero Martinez, 12th grade.

KGFX's Scott Lane joins four Takini students and a teacher from Takini School during a visit to the station on Monday.
