PIERRE, S.D. – The Pierre Lady Governor volleyball team was no match for Watertown last night as Watertown came into Riggs High Gym and beat the Lady Govs 3-0 in the homecoming volleyball contest. Pierre was no match for the Arrows who won their third straight game and Pierre lost their 3rd straight by scores of 25-18, 25-15, 25-17. The Lady Govs got 10 kills apeice from Kaitlin Severyn and Carly Jo Schroer. Kelsey Schmitz had 8. Whitney King had 18 assists and Severyn led the Lady Govs with 9 digs. Watertown was led by McKenzie Werner with 13 kills. Sydney Dale had 25 assists and Macy Denzer led the Arrows with 13 digs defensivly. Watertown improves to 6 and 3 on the season while the Lady Govs drop to 3 and 7. Pierre returns to action tomorrow night as the Lady Govs will play their first ever match against Harrisburg in Harrisburg.
