Scales of Justice and Judge's Gavel

FAULKTON, S.D. (AP) – A man who used to serve on the Faulk County Commission has pleaded guilty to raping one girl and having sexual contact with another.

KELO-TV reports that Kelly Stevens pleaded guilty Tuesday to the two felony charges that carry a maximum punishment of 30 years in prison.

Authorities say the crimes happened last year. Law enforcement found out about them earlier this summer and arrested Stevens.
