GETTYSBURG, S.D. – The Ipswich Girls scored 7 points to win the Potter County Invitational Cross Country meet team title on Saturday in Gettysburg. Potter County was next with 21 points. Macy Hieinz of Ipswich was the individual winner in a time of 14:58.23 as she led a 1-2-3 Ipswich finish. In the boys division, Cheyenne Eagle Butte won the team title with 12 points, 3 better than runner up Ipswich. Stanley County was third with 17 points. Daniel Burkhalter of Bison was the individual champion. The 8th grader had a winning time of 17:22.92. Austin Brown of Stanley County finished 8th while teammate Seth Van Den Hemmel was 9th. Brown ran a time of 19:29.96 and Van Den Hemmel finsihed in 19:31.14. Shale Kramme, Shay Van Den Hemmel and Brevin Klemann finished in 17, 18 and 19th place.
