BROOKINGS, S.D. – After directing the South Dakota State softball program for the past two years, head coach Kim Aggabao announced her resignation on Friday and accepted the same position at Cal State Dominguez Hills in Carson, Calif. A Walnut, Calif., native and 2004 graduate of UC San Diego, Aggabao came to South Dakota State after seven seasons as an assistant coach at the University of San Diego, where she served as the team’s hitting coach, infield coach and recruiting coordinator. In two seasons as head coach for the Jackrabbits, Aggabao posted a 29-57-1 record, including a 16-30 mark in 2013, when the team did not play a single game at home due to the wet spring. SDSU will start a national search to fill the position immediately.
