PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) Two projects will start this week on central South Dakota roadways. An asphalt crack sealing project starts on Highway 1806 today beginning at Oahe Dam and extending north for about 30 miles. Wednesday brings the start of work on an asphalt paving project on Highway 83 from Highway 212 west of Gettysburg north to Highway 12 in Potter and Walworth counties. During both projects, traffic will be directed through work zones with flaggers and a pilot car. The asphalt crack sealing on Highway 1806 in Stanley County should be complete by October 11 and the Department of Transportation says the asphalt paving in Potter and Walworth Counties is scheduled to be finished by November 1.
