PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) Another day of chip seal work is lined up for several street segments in Pierre.  Pierre’s Construction and Operations Manager Lynn Patton says today’s plans call for chip sealing to be finished on a segment of Dakota Avenue between Washington and Harrison Avenues, to complete work which was not finished yesterday.  Crews will also be working on Brule and Pawnee Streets between Missouri and Dakota Avenues; Missouri Avenue from Pierre to Chapelle Streets, Fort Street from Missouri to Dakota Avenues and Central and Poplar Avenues from Dakota to Sioux Avenues.   The chip sealing process will continue on other streets in the coming days and Patton asks motorists to exercise caution and to pay attention to the trucks and equipment near the work zones.  He says the chip seal work is done on Pierre streets to extend the life of the roadways.
