PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) Workers began removing stained glass panels from the Capitol Rotunda dome in Pierre on August 19, 2013.  The glass pieces, along with segments from the Senate and House chambers and the barrel vault above the grand staircase, will be sent to Wisconsin over the coming months to be cleaned, repaired and restored.  They will be returned to the location where they have beautified the Capitol since 1909 before November 2, 2014, when South Dakota celebrates the 125th anniversary of statehood.
