Tune In Again Soon for the Next KGFX Hometown Tour Stop!



UNDATED – (DRG News) KGFX rolls on with our 2013 KGFX Hometown Tour series…with our most recent program held in Onida last week-August 7.  We hope you were able to tune in, as Prime Time Paul Rollie interviewed several local residents about activities that were part of the just ended 91st annual Sully County Fair.   (Pictures from last week’s Hometown Tour are shown below).

Our next KGFX Hometown Tour will be this Wednesday, August 14-as we travel to Highmore.  Join us as we broadcast from Heartland State Bank Wednesday morning.  Our guests include Highmore/Harrold School District’s new Superintendent Chip Sundburg and new Principal Quintin Cermak.   We’ll also hear from FFA Agronomy Team Member and Coach Ken Jones about the upcoming national FFA Convention in October; Natalie Leisinger will talk about the recent success of the Highmore Junior Shooters-which placed second nationally at a tournament in Arkansas; Mayor Vicki Day will discuss an upcoming road project, as Highway 47 will be reconstructed next year; plus we’ll hear about work that’s been done at the Highmore Golf Course.  Finally, Jerrod Gutzmer will talk about upcoming Highmore Sportsman’s Club and Highmore Civic and Commerce activities and Heartland State Bank’s Rod Domke will update us on the bank’s remodel and services they offer.  Wednesday’s Highmore Hometown Tour is brought to you by Heartland State Bank, Highmore Furniture, Titan Machinery, the Highmore Herald, Wilbur Ellis, The Prairie Thistle, Mashek Food Center, Mad Minute Firearms, D & K Outpost, Jan Busse Ford, The Grand Lodge, Midwest Cooperative and Homestead Building Supply.  It starts Wednesday morning at 9:05 a.m., so stop by Heartland State Bank or tune in to 1060-AM KGFX.

As the Hometown Tour schedule rolls into the fall, we’ll include stops in Kennebec and Fort Pierre.
