UNDATED – (DRG News) KGFX will have the second of three Hometown Tour broadcasts within a three week period as we’ll travel to Onida tomorrow! Last week, our program focused on Pierre, as we held our Hometown Tour at Prairie Pages Bookseller. A few of the guests for the Pierre program discussed activities that were held last weekend in Pierre, plus we had city officials, a representative from the Pierre Chamber, and more. (Photos shown below).
Tomorrow, we’ll be in Onida, broadcasting from Barber Farm Service and Barber Chemicals. Tune in and you’ll learn about what’s coming with this year’s Sully County Fair, which will celebrate its 91st year. The fair will be this Thursday through Sunday. There will be several events during the fair for kids, including the Dakota Riders Timed Event Extravaganza, the Kids PlayDay, and the Pedal Tractor Pull. Speakers will also discuss the August 9 Beaba Bike Ride, the PRCA Rodeo, Art at the Fair, Cow Pattie Bingo, a potluck picnic, the Antique Tractor Pull and more. The broadcast starts Wednesday morning at 9:05 a.m. It will be brought to you by BankWest Onida, Don’s Food Center, Sunrise Bank Dakota, Midwest Co-op, Stewart and Daughters, the Fireside Steakhouse and Lounge, Onida Watchman, The Corner, Oahe Grain and Brett’s Spray Service.
Next week, we’ll be on the road again, as our Hometown Tour will originate from Highmore. More information on that broadcast will be coming soon!
The seventh year of KGFX Hometown Tours continues on…we hope you tune in!
