KENNEBEC, S.D. – (DRG News) A Lyman County Grand Jury indicted a man last week for eight counts of Possession, Manufacture or Distribution of Child Pornography. Lyman County State’s Attorney Anita Fouss says 21-year-old Larry Maranville IV was arraigned in Kennebec Monday and pleaded not guilty to all charges. Maranville had previously requested an attorney and Sandy Steffen of Gregory was appointed to represent him. Maranville was arrested by the Lyman County Sheriff’s Office and Division of Criminal Investigation on July 11 after a search warrant was served at a residence in Presho. Fouss says Possession, Manufacture or Distribution of Child Pornography is considered a Class 4 Felony and each count carries a maximum sentence of ten years in prison, a $20,000 fine or both. Fouss says further court proceedings in Maranville’s case are pending.
