PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) Some roads in the vicinity of Pierre’s softball complex will be the focus of a discussion next week at the city commission meeting. Pierre Mayor Laurie Gill says two years after the 2011 flood, there are some roadways in that area of town that haven’t been repaired yet. She says work has been underway on infrastructure in the vicinity of the complex and the road surfaces are next to be repaired.
At the commission meeting Tuesday, July 23, Gill says discussion will center on various options for street repair in those southeast Pierre neighborhoods and a public meeting will be held later so residents can ask questions and offer comments.
Gill says its been good to see tournaments and full use of the Pierre’s softball complex again.
Next Tuesday’s commission meeting in which the subject of roads in the softball complex area will be highlighted will begin at 5:30 p.m.
