PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) South Dakota is once again being recognized as one of the top ten pro-business states. For the tenth straight year, Pollina Corporate Real Estate rated the state in the top ten-with an eighth place ranking. The Pollina Corporate Top 10 Pro-Business States study uses 32 factors to assess and rank states. Factors include taxation, human resources, infrastructure, and economic incentive programs. The South Dakota Governor’s Office of Economic Development says in a press release that the first Pollina Corporate Top 10 Business States study was published in 2004. Since then the state has ranked at various spots in the top ten. The highest ranking for the state in the study was in 2005, when South Dakota was rated number three.
