PIERRE, S.D. – The Pierre Jr. Shooters BB Gun Team competed against 53 other teams from across the nation in the 48th Annual Daisy National BB Gun Championship Match in Rogers, Arkansas last weekend. The Pierre team had a strong showing, placing fourth overall as a team. Palmyra, PA won the competition with Highmore finishing in second place. Each team consisted of five team members as well as up to two alternates. The alternates compete against other alternates for awards also. There were approximately 350 shooters from across the United States at this event. Individually, Nolan Ortbahn placed second in the nation in the sitting position. In the alternate division, Nathan Schnabel won the prone and the kneeling positions. Next year, the 49th Championship Match will again be held in Rogers, Arkansas on July 4-6.
