Rattlers Defeat Sioux Falls Saints Twice on Saturday

 PIERRE, S.D. – The Pierre Rattlers Amateur baseball team won a pair of games Saturday at Hyde Stadium as they swept a doubleheader from the Sioux Falls Saints. The Rattlers won the opening game 9-4 and then took the nightcap 10-5. In the opener, Harry Decker was the winning pitcher allowing 8 hits and striking out 5 in going the distance.  Ryan Yackley had 3 hits including a home run and 2 RBI’s to lead the offense.  In the nightcap, Sam Koenecke had 3 hits and 3 RBI’s and Allen Goodman went six innings allowing 5 hits and striking out 5.  Bob Bennett pitched a scoreless 7th.  The Rattlers  scheduled game today with the Saints will not be played.  Pierre travels to Winner for a single 9 inning game on Wednesday.  The next home games are July 6th against Custer and Redfield.  The wins were the 2nd and 3rd wins over the Saints so far this year. With the doubleheader sweep, the Rattlers are now 8-0 on the season.
