Spease Named Boys Basketball Coach at Rapid City Central




RAPID CITY, S.D. – Longtime assistant coach Vince Spease has been named the new head boys basketball coach at Rapid City Central high school.  The Rapid City School Board approved the hiring at it’s meeting yesterday in Rapid City.  Spease has been an assistant coach in basketball, football and track and field for the last 20 years.  Spease is a native of Delmont and his only head coaching experience was at Tripp in the mid 1980′s where he coached the boys team for 3 years and the girls team for 1.  He is a graduate of South Dakota State and played baseball for the Jackrabbits.  He replaces Mike Purcell who stepped down from the position last month.
