Pierre Police Department Reports Handful of Arrests Over the Weekend

Pierre Police Department Patch

PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) A woman was taken to the Hughes County Jail Sunday after police say that she struck two parked cars with her vehicle and then left the scene.  Pierre Police Captain Elton Blemaster says it was reported that two vehicles were hit in the 500 block of North Highland Avenue.  It’s alleged that 18-year-old Danielle Wilson hit the vehicles with her car causing an unknown amount of damage.  Blemaster says Wilson fled the scene of the crash, but later turned herself into authorities after she was contacted about the incident.  Wilson was cited for Ingesting, Careless Driving, DUI-1st Offense, Leaving the Scene, Failure to Report an Accident and Underage Consumption of Alcohol.  Blemaster says Wilson was transported to the Hughes County Jail and left in their custody.

In other calls, Blemaster says a man was taken to jail after he was found to be intoxicated while at a Pierre fast food restaurant Sunday evening.  44-year-old Delrue Useful Heart was being taken to the Hughes County Jail because of his intoxication level, when Blemaster says he began to make personal threats to the arresting officer.  He was arrested for Simple Assault Against a Law Enforcement Officer.

Early this morning, a man was placed under arrest for Disorderly Conduct at a Pierre motel after reports that he was intoxicated, yelling and swearing at other people.  The actions were also said to have been directed at police officers who responded to the scene.  Blemaster says as 33-year-old Mario Eagle Feather was being arrested, he tried to pull away and kick at the arresting officers.  In addition to Disorderly Conduct, Eagle Feather was also arrested for Resisting Arrest.
