Riverwalk Landing Project to go Public Vote

Ft. Pierre Riverwalk

FT. PIERRE, S.D. -  Ft. Pierre’s Riverwalk Landing project will go before the voters. One hundred signatures on a petition filed by Fort Pierre business owner Diane London Thursday will refer the controversial, $16 million Riverwalk Landing development on the Missouri River to a public vote in July. The Fort Pierre City Council has 10 days to set an election date. That will likely be done at Monday’s regularly scheduled meeting. The election cannot be held sooner than 30 days from when the public notice of the election is made. The election would be held on a Tuesday, likely in mid-July
