FORT PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) A Fort Pierre man was arrested over the weekend after authorities were told that the man allegedly said he had placed an explosive device under a car. Stanley County Chief Deputy Sheriff Greg Swanson says his office was contacted Saturday morning just after ten to respond to a residence in the 100 block of Skerrols Street. He says a parking dispute between neighbors had escalated to the point where it’s alleged that one of the neighbors said he had put an explosive under a neighbor’s vehicle. Swanson says the South Dakota Highway Patrol responded to the scene and helped search for explosive devices. Nothing was found. After an investigation, authorities arrested 71-year-old Kenneth William Morsch. He was taken into custody for Aggravated Assault and Making a Terrorist Threat and was transported to the Hughes County Jail. As of this morning, the Sheriff’s Office says Morsch was still in custody.
