BROOKINGS, S.D. – The Pierre spring high school baseball team ended their regular season with a doubleheader split at Brookings on Sunday. Brookings defeated Pierre 13-7 before Pierre came back to win a 14-10 slugfest with Yankton. In the loss to Brookings, 3 Pierre errors led to a big second inning for Brookings which Pierre could not overcome. Carson Eisenbeisz had 3 hits to lead Pierre in the opener as Pierre had 11 hits. Alex Gray had the distinction of getting 3 by a pitch 3 times in the game and scored 3 runs. In the win over Yankton, Cash Anderson pitched 5 innings of relief in picking up the win. Connor Ryan doubled and singled as Pierre had 10 hits in the win. Pierre ends their regular season with a 9-5 record and will be the second seed in the Region tournament in Mitchell next weekend.
