PIERRE, S.D. – The Pierre Spring High School Baseball team swept a double header last night from Rapid City Central winning 14-11 and 11-3 to even their season record at 3 and 3. In the opener, Pierre was crusing with an 11-0 lead until Rapid City scored 10 unanswered runs to cut the Pierre lead to 11-10. But Pierre pushed across 3 runs in the 7th inning for the win. Cash Anderson had 4 hits with an RBI and 2 runs scored for Pierre. Cooper Walton left the game after 4 innings with a shutout in tact but Pierre’s relievers could not hold off the Cobblers. In the nightcap, the two teams combined to comit 12 errors but Carson Eisenbiesz had 3 hits and Ryan Goodwin went the distance allowing 3 runs on 8 hits. Pierre is now 3-3 as they travel to Sturgis for a doubleheader on Sunday.
