PIERRE, S.D. – The Pierre Governors bounced back after a 6-3 loss to Sioux Falls O’Gorman on Friday morning with a third place finish in the Rapid City Invitational Tennis Tournament that wrapped up Saturday in Rapid City. The Governors scored 72 points to finish third behind tournament champion Rapid City Stevens and runner up Sioux Falls O’Gorman. Nathan Ellenbecker finished 5th at number 1 flight doubles while Conner Shoop had a third place finish at second flight and Brandon Vockrodt did the same at number 3 singles and Mitchell Hanson had a third place finish at number 4 flight singles as the singles was played on Saturday and the Doubles Friday. Vockrodt and Shoop lost the championship match at number 2 doubles for the best finish for the Governors in the 3 doubles divisions.
