SMITHVILLE, Mo. – Augustana captured its fourth straight NSIC Women’s Golf Championship shooting a 1279 (326-320-314-319) in the 72-hole tournament. The Vikings fired a 319 in the final round and finished with a 61 stroke lead over Minnesota State who finished second (1340). The final two rounds were moved from Dacotah Ridge Golf Course in Morton, Minn. to Paradise Pointe Golf Club in Smithville, Mo. due to unplayable conditions. Allie Ostrander won the individual championship finishing with a 25-over-par 313 (75-80-78-80). This is the second straight season that Augustana has had the individual medalist at the conference championships. Ostrander is the fifth individual to win a women’s golf championship in school history. The Vikings dominated the field, placing four of the top five individuals.
