PIERRE, S.D. (AP) – Gov. Dennis Daugaard will join a South Dakota delegation attending a bioscience conference that starts today in Chicago.
The governor says the delegation’s attendance at the BIO International Conference could help persuade companies to locate in South Dakota.
Daugaard says he attended last year’s conference, and that has led to discussions with several companies that are considering expanding their operations to South Dakota.
The South Dakota delegation to the conference will include representatives from South Dakota State University, the University of South Dakota and state and local economic development officials.
