Election Day in Some SD Communities and School Districts

Vote Checkmark

UNDATED – (DRG News) Some South Dakota communities and school districts are holding elections today after last week’s storm resulted in the postponement of the election process.  In Blunt, voters will select one of two candidates to fill a two year term on the city council.  Current council member Jeff Kiepke is being challenged by Michael Bourk in today’s election.  In Faith, community members are going to the polls to pick their choice for Mayor and to fill two open council positions.  Current Mayor Glen Haines is being challenged by Peggy Riley.  In the Ward One Council race, Amy Huber is running for the seat against current councilman Jerry Spencer and three people are running for the open Ward Three Council position-Barb Berndt, Jenni Fischer and Gerald Trainer.  School board elections are also being held today in Kadoka, Miller and Chamberlain; along with other locales.
