PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) National Library Week is being noted this week and Pierre’s Rawlins Library is marking the occasion. Throughout the week, there will be various events that will take place. Adults will be challenged to guess how many titles were in the library’s collections on April 1. Everyone who enters will get a bookmark. There will also be an after school Reading Adventure on Wednesday at 3:45 p.m. for kids of all ages and patrons can check a display that has photos from Pierre’s original Carnegie Library, the 1972 Rawlins construction and some current library scenes. This week, each child that obtains a new library card will get a free book bag and sticker. National Library Week is noted now through Saturday.
