PIERRE, S.D. (AP) – South Dakota Secretary of State Jason Gant says at least 30 city and school district elections were postponed by this week’s spring storm that hit much of the state with snow and freezing rain.
The local elections were to be held Tuesday, but they have been postponed a week until next Tuesday, April 16.
Gant says the elections taking place next week will be the same as those that would have occurred this week. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
