PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) On Monday, work will begin to rehabilitate two bridges near McIntosh and to resurface a segment of Highway 65 south of the town. The South Dakota Department of Transportation says work on the bridges includes guardrail replacement, bridge rail modification and epoxy deck seals. After bridge work is completed, the contractor will start an asphalt concrete resurfacing project on Highway 65 from south of the Grand River to the junction of Highway 12. During the construction work, both bridges will be reduced to one 12-foot lane of traffic controlled by stop lights. The bridge work is expected to be completed by mid-summer with an overall project completion date of November 1.
