PIERRE, S.D.. – The Pierre Governor high school baseball team lost both ends of a doubleheader Saturday as they opened the home portion of their season. Pierre hosted Mitchell at Kelley Field and the visitors shut out Pierre twice by scores of 12-0 and 10-0 leaving Pierre with a 1 and 3 record to start the season. Pierre was limited to just 7 hits on the day, 5 in the first game and 2 in the nightcap. All were singles. Pierre hosts Brookings for a doublheader next Saturday at Kelley Field.
