HURON, S.D. – The Pierre Governor tennis team lost two matches to Watertown and Sioux Falls Lincoln but bounced back with a win over Huron in a quadrangular played Saturday in Huron. Watertown won the first match of the day downing the Governors 8-1 with Patrick Bollinger picking up the lone win of the day for the Governors at number 6 singles. Bollinger won his second match of the day in the match against Sioux Falls Lincoln, a match the Patriots won 7-2. The number 2 doubles team of Conner Shoop and Brandon Vockrodt also won for the Governors. Pierre posted a 6-3 win over Huron in the final match of the day as Nathan Ellenbecker won at the number 1 singles spot and Vockrodt picked up a win at number 3. Bollinger completed his 3 and 0 day by winning at number 6 and all 3 of the Governor doubles teams posted wins over Huron. Pierre is 2 and 3 on the season as they will host Aberdeen Central and Rapid City Stevens in thier next matches Thursday at the Griffin Park Courts.
