Pierre Soccer Teams Wins Season’s Final Tournament

WATERTOWN, S.D. – Pierre’s U12 girls’ soccer team, Maquina Verde, had a successful conclusion to the indoor soccer season. Pierre went undefeated in pool play, posting two shut-outs, during Watertown’s Futsal Flurry soccer tournament this weekend. They met Dakota Alliance from Sioux Falls in the finals. Pierre was down 0-1 at half-time but scored quickly in the second half to tie the game. With 20 seconds to go in regulation time, Ally McQuistion scored the winning goal to put Pierre on top for the 2-1 win.
