Inaugural Button Collection Being Raffled Off for Fundraiser

Inaugural Button Collection

FORT PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) The Hughes/Stanley County Republicans are holding a raffle after the group was given an inaugural button collection.  Tad Perry, Stanley County Republican Chairman says former State Senate Majority Leader Homer Harding gave his button collection to the group to be used as a local fundraiser.  One button that was missing was provided to complete the set by Judy Page.  The buttons range from as far back as Governor Tom Berry’s pin from 1935 to Governor Dennis Daugaard’s inaugural button from 2011.  There are a total of 49 buttons in the collection-thanks to a few campaign pins that were added to it.  Perry says the collection is being raffled with 200 tickets being sold at $10 a ticket.  The raffle will be conducted at the group’s next monthly meeting-after the 200th ticket is sold.  The April meeting is planned for Thursday, April 11.  Tickets are available through Perry-who can be contacted at tadp3@pie.midco.net.  Checks can also be sent to Perry for the Stanley County Republican Committee at 2312 Whispering Shores Drive, Fort Pierre, SD, 57532.
