PIERRE, S.D. – Walk In Registration for summer youth baseball and JO Softball will be from 5:30-7 p.m. tomorrow evening (Thursday) at the Georgia Morse Middle School cafeteria. Any player new to the either program must provide a copy of a birth certificate. The Capital City Baseball Association is open to any boy or girl in Central South Dakota ages 7-14. Divisions include PeeWee (born May 1, 2004 through April 30, 2006). Minor (May 1, 2002 through April 30, 2004). Major (Born May 1, 2000 through April 30, 2002). Registration fees range from $40 for PeeWees and $45 for Minors and Majors. With each registration, players will receive a $5 credit to the Jaycee batting cage located at the Oahe Sports Complex. Parents can also drop off registrations at Capital Sports, All Around Graphix, or mail them to CCBA, PO Box 231, Pierre, SD, 57501. Check out the league’s website and join the email list at www.ccbapierre.org No current resident registrations will be accepted after April 6. JO Softball is for girls ages 7 to 18 with the cost $45 per player. $40 for ages 7 and 8. Oahe JO softball also offers a discount for families with more than one player wanting to play. Head coaches and assistant coaches are needed in all age divisions; each coach must undergo a background screening prior to the first team practice
