Jackrabbits to Play Michingan in First Round of NCAA Tournament

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – The South Dakota State men’s basketball team learned on Sunday that the Jackrabbits would face Michigan when they return to the NCAA Tournament for a second straight season.  The No. 13 seed Jackrabbits and No. 4 seed Wolverines square off in the second round of the tournament at the Palace of Auburn Hills in Auburn Hills, Mich., on Thursday at 6:15 pm central time.  The South Dakota State-Michigan winner advances to the third round to face the winner of No. 5 seed VCU and No. 12 seed Akron on Saturday, March 23, for a spot in the South Region semifinals in Arlington, Texas, at Cowboys Stadium.  South Dakota State enters its 26th NCAA Tournament in school history, the second at the Division I level and second in as many years, with a 25-9 overall record. The Wolverines enter their 24th NCAA Tournament with a 26-7 record after earning an at-large bid out of the Big Ten.
