PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) SDSU Extension will soon be providing training for real estate agents who sell rural properties. The Advisor for Country Real Estate (ACRE-SD) training will be held March 18-19 at the SDSU Extension Regional Center at 412 West Missouri Avenue in Pierre. To be eligible for the ACRE-SD designation, real estate agents much meet various qualifications. Those who earn the ACRE-SD designation will receive a complete acreage resource kit, year-round technical support from SDSU Extension and have their contact information listed on http://iGrow.org.
The course “Promoting Resource Stewardship and Planning in Real Estate Transactions-Level 1” will be Monday from 12:30 to 5:00 p.m. at the center in Pierre. Level 2, will begin at 8:00 a.m. and end around noon on Tuesday at the same location and is open to real estate agents who have completed Level 1. Topics for Level 2 will include fence laws, water quality, and income opportunities for acreage owners.
