PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) Next week, a local business will raise money to assist the family of a Pierre woman who died in a traffic accident last weekend. For much of the day, Wednesday, March 6, Taco Johns of Pierre will give 50% of all sales to the Casey Crane Memorial Fund. Casey Crane worked at the restaurant as a shift manager for more than ten years. She passed away Sunday after a fatal car accident and left behind two young children. LeRoy Carroll, General Manager of Taco John’s of Pierre, says that Crane was a valued member of the business and is missed by her customers and co-workers. He says 50% of the sales that are taken in from 5:30 a.m. to midnight on March 6 will be donated to the Casey Crane Memorial Fund and all proceeds will go to her children. In addition, customers are being encouraged to donate their change. Donations can also be deposited directly into the Casey Crane Memorial Fund at BankWest in Pierre or to the Jace and Zaden Crane Benefit Fund at Home Federal Bank at 322 South Coteau in Pierre.
Services were held for Crane this morning. She was killed in a one vehicle accident on Interstate 90 Sunday night near Presho.
