Northern State Signs 30 Football Players Including A Pair of Central South Dakotans

ABERDEEN, S.D. – Players from Gettysburg and Chamberlain are among the 30 players announced today by Northern State who will compete and play for the Wolves football program next year.  Linebacker Tate Nafziger of Gettysburg and defensive lineman Jami Walters of Chamberlain signed their letters of intent Wednesday, the first official date of the spring signing period for NCAA schools.  A 2-time All-State selection and a 2012 Wendy’s Heisman state finalist, Nafziger recorded 212 solo and 137 assisted tackles in his career with the Gettysburg and Potter County Battlers and head coach Vern Smith.   Walters is a 2012 All-State selection out of Chamberlain HS after recording 78 tackles, 14 sacks, three forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries for the Cubs under head coach John King. Walters also earned All-State honors as a junior and is a three-time selection to all-conference teams in both Iowa during his sophomore season and South Dakota his junior and senior year.
