BRANDON, S.D. – The Pierre Governor basketball team won their 8th straight game on Saturday night as they downed Brandon Valley 52-40 in Brandon. Pierre never trailed in the game and it was tied only twice in the second quarter. Zach Hanson led the way with 20 points and pulled down double digit rebounds and had 4 block shots on the night. Lane Severyn had 12 points for the Governors and Austin Christopherson came off the bench to contribute 9 points. Jacob Adams had 13 points to pace Brandon Valley. The Governors with the win improve to 10-4 on the season and avenged a 2 point loss to the Lynx in Pierre last month. The Governors return to action on Tuesday night when they travel to Rapid City to face Rapid City Stevens.
