SD FFA Officers to Meet with South Dakota Leaders During Two Day Gathering in Fort Pierre


PIERRE, S.D. – (DRG News) The South Dakota FFA Association will hold its 2013 State FFA Legislative Breakfast and District Officer Training tomorrow and Thursday in Fort Pierre.  The event is held to promote the FFA’s mission of leadership, personal growth and career success.  It brings together South Dakota’s governmental leaders and South Dakota FFA State and District Officers.  The 2012-2013 State FFA Officer Team, which is made up of members including Andrew Rausch of Hoven, Tyler Swan of Newell and Savanna Sperle of Reva are the hosts for the event.  SD FFA Ambassadors, including Darin Stoecker of Hoven, will assist the state officers.  On Thursday morning, State FFA Officers will hold a breakfast program that will focus on agricultural education curriculum.  Also during that time, District FFA Officers and advisors will visit one-on-one with legislators as they discuss how participants in ag education programs can learn while designing career specific internships.

Both Wednesday and Thursday, the State FFA Officer Team will host leadership training workshops for District Officers.  The officers will also learn more about the upcoming State FFA Convention which will be April 14-16.

The Wednesday and Thursday FFA Legislative Breakfast and District Officer Training will be held at the AmericInn inFortPierre.
