PIERRE, S.D. – Current Pierre-Ft. Pierre Capital senior Austin Wagner is closing in on a Capitals Hockey record. Wagner is just 12 points shy of tying the all time leading scoring mark of Matt Farris who played in the United States Hockey League with the Sioux Falls Stampede and currently plays on the Princeton University hockey team. Wagner has scored 230 points in this his 4th year on the Capitals varsity squad. Farris scored 242 points from 2004 to 2007. Wagner has 138 goals and 92 assist in his varsity career in games through this weekend. Farris scored 157 goals and had 85 assists. Seth Parsons is third on the all time points list with 187 points and Josh Rogers is fourth with 182 points in their Capitals varsity hockey career. Wagner’s next games are this Friday and Saturday when the Capitals go to North Dakota to face Dickinson and Mandan, North Dakota high school teams.
