No Travel Advised in Northern Hills as Snow Falls

PIERRE, S.D. (AP) – The South Dakota Department of Transportation is advising no travel in the northern Black Hills as heavy snowfall continues in the area.
The department says visibility is near zero on a slippery, snow-covered Interstate 90 from one mile west of Piedmont to the Wyoming state line. A no travel advisory is in place for many other roads in the areas around Lead, Deadwood, Sundance and Four Corners.
The National Weather Service is predicting total snow accumulations of 10 to 20 inches. A winter storm warning is in effect through Wednesday evening.
