ROCHESTER, Minn. – The Pierre Governor wrestling team went 1 and 2 Friday during the first day of The Clash Wrestling tournament in Rochester, Minnesota. The Governors lone win came in their third dual of the day when they defeated Zumbrota, Minnesota 38-27. Pierre won 8 of the matches they wrestled and won 4 of them by pin. The Governors lost their first match of the day being beaten by Bound Brook, New Jersey 41-27 and then lost their second match to Arrowhead Union, Wisconsin 45-29. The Governors are now 9 and 2 in dual matches as they wrestle again tomorrow during the final day of the two day tournament that is one of the top high school tournaments in the nation.
