SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — U.S. Census Bureau data show people are more likely to live 100 years or longer in North Dakota and South Dakota. Data released this month show North Dakota ranks No. 1 in the number of centenarians per 10,000 people, at 3.29. South Dakota was second at 2.95. Sioux Falls resident Lorraine Brakke is one of about 250 centenarians living in South Dakota. Brakke says she doesn’t have any explanation of why she has lived to be 100 years old. She says “it just happened.”
