MOBRIDGE, SD (DRG News) – The Town of Mobridge Looks to kick of December and the holiday season with a bang this weekend with more than 10 events planned. The festivities start on Friday with the Ribbon Cutting of the new railroad crossing on South Main. Following that at 6 pm, the Parade of lights will start at the south end of main street and circle the park. There are currently 15 entrants involved in that so far, to get involved or for more information, call the Chamber office at 845-2387. After the Parade of Lights, Everyone is asked to join at Scherr Howe arena where you can meet this year’s snow queen contestants, talk to Santa, and hear music from the Northern South Dakota Children’s Choir.
On Saturday, Enjoy the Snow Queen Contest at Scherr Howe arena along with some local entertainment.
And to wrap up the busy weekend, come see Santa again at Santa Land from 1 to 5. The MMA and Thrift store will be giving the “Gift of Love” his year with around 720 gifts that will be given to children. That’s all going on this weekend at Scherr Howe arena.
