HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. – For the second time in its three games, and in both games in the 2K Sports Classic benefiting Wounded Warrior Project, a late three-pointer by the home team sank the Jackrabbits, the latest coming in a 66-63 loss at Hofstra on Friday. Shaquille Stokes hit a long three-pointer from the left wing with three seconds left that provided Hofstra with the win. Nate Wolters led all players with 25 points and 10 rebounds for his sixth career double-double. Brayden Carlson added 12 points in the loss. Steve Mejia and Taran Buie both finished with 14 points to lead the Pride. The Jacks did shoot 50 percent in the second half on 11-of-22 shooting, but, minus the two late threes from Wolters, continued to struggle from three-point range, posting a 37.5 shooting percentage on 3-of-8 shooting. SDSU is now 1 and 2 on the season as they look to get back on the winning track on Saturday, when they take on Marshall at 2:30 p.m. ET, 1:30 p.m. CT.
