PIERRE, S.D. (AP) – Two Republican legislators who were kicked out of a House caucus last year will be in attendance Saturday at a GOP meeting.  The Argus Leader reports that GOP Rep. Stace Nelson, from Fulton, and Rep. Lance Russell, from Hot Springs, have accepted an invitation from House Majority leader David Lust to attend the meeting in Pierre.
Nelson and Russell had been kicked out of the caucus last year after accusing Lust and other House GOP leaders of ethics violations.
All 53 House Republicans elected last week have been invited to the Saturday meeting, which will sort out the leaders for the Republican caucus.
Nelson says there has been no reconciliation. Instead, he says he’s trying to staying in the caucus because he can do more good there.
