PIERRE, S.D. – Two high school volleyball officials from Pierre will be working in the State Class B high school volleyball tournament that will be played tomorrow through Sunday at the Corn Palace in Mitchell. Jo Auch of Pierre will be the Supervising Official of the state B tournament Tim Hollar of Pierre will be one of 6 Line Judges that will be officiciating the tournament. The State B tournament begins at noon tomorrow when Lyman faces Parker.
UNDATED – 4 central South Dakota high school volleyball teams will begin play tomorrow in the 3 state high school volleyball tournament that begin around the state. 3 of the 4 will be competing in the State B tournament in Mitchell being played at the Corn Palace. Lyman is the 8th seed, Herreid-Selby Area is the 3rd seed and Timber Lake the 7th seed in the tournament. All of the teams will have a 1 hour practice session today at the tournament sites. Lyman will be practicing at the Corn Palace from 2 to 3 pm and Herreid-Selby Area will practice from 4 to 5 pm follwed by Timber Lake from 5 to 6 pm. Meanwhile Mobridge-Pollock will compete in the Class A State tournament in Watertown at the Watertown Civic Arena. The Tigers have a practice time scheduled from 3 to 4 pm.
