PIERRE, S.D. – Two members of this year’s Pierre Governor boys basketball team made it official and signed their letters of intent Wednesday at Riggs High School. Zach Hansen and Lane Severyn will be continuing their basketball careers next year. Hansen at Crieghton and Severen at South Dakota State. Hansen averaged 17 points a game and pulled down just under 8 rebounds per game last year. Hansen talked about the recruiting process.
Severyn averaged 16 points a game his junior year for the Governors. The choice of SDSU came down 3 schools
Both players say that they have the opportunity to play next year depending on what their head coaches decide. Governor head coach Terry Becker says it is nice to see these two players reap the rewards of alot of hours in the gym over the course of the past few years.
Both players will be seniors this year on the Pierre Governor boys basketball team and both say they are ready to begin practice in a week and a half.
